Lynn wrote down the Hicks family Jack tales as master storyteller, Ray Hicks was telling them. The famous Appalachian stories passed through the Hicks and Harmon families beginning in the 1770s. The three famous stories included in this volume are brilliantly illustrated by Owen Smith in full color and in black and white. Salsi is an authority on the life and times of Ray Hicks. The book received excellent reviews from the Library Journal. It is presently out of print. First editions are considered collectible and can be found online.
